TinyAI is a tiny feed-forward neural network โ the simplest kind of
"brain" a computer can have. It has an input layer (the picture you
show it), one hidden layer, and an output layer (the answer it
gives). It connects each input to every hidden brain cell, and each hidden
brain cell to every output.
The dots. The larger dots are the neurons โ the places
where the brain stops and does its math. The smaller dots are the
weights and biases: single numbers the brain can change. There are only
10 of these changeable numbers in TinyAI.
The wires. Each wire is a connection that carries a signal from
one neuron to the next, multiplied by its weight. When you press
Learn, the brain nudges those weights up or down so that the right
answer gets the biggest signal.
Because there are only 10 changeable numbers, TinyAI can only learn 2 to 3
patterns and struggles with big ideas.
